How does it work?

Bacteria in the water naturally break down organic compounds, releasing electrons.

POND captures these electrons, generating electricity without harming the ecosystem.

This electricity powers sensors that monitor water quality.

The data from these sensors is translated into a unique light language. The color of the floating lights reflects the water's well-being.

Worldwide, 14 people die every day due to unsafe water. Currently, 60% of European water bodies are highly polluted, which poses a serious threat to the environment & public health.

POND functions as a communication & interaction platform between the bacteria, the water and humans. By including the voice of nature in our everyday life, we can show the public that water is a living creature and needs proper taking care of. POND gives water its own voice and establishes a true dialogue between people and nature.

Nova Innova has concluded a thorough and successful development and pilot phase in The Netherlands, and is now ready for implementation. Aiming to catalyze positive change towards a future where humans, nature, and technology thrive in symbiosis.
